Reduce Yard Time.
Segments Served
Defense
Viega offers MegaPress CuNi, the only copper nickel press fitting with NAVSEA approval allowing shipbuilders and Navy personnel to better integrate fittings into onboard systems.
Commercial
Viega press fittings meet different approval needs for a variety of commercial marine projects.
Offshore
With a number of material types that work for most metric and standard pipe sizes, Viega press fittings work with tankers, bulkers, gas carriers and more.
Cruise/Passenger
Multiple sealing element options and fitting sizes make Viega press systems a trusted single supplier solution for the multiple needs for a cruise ship installation.
Benefits of Viega Press Technology
Eliminate Hot Work
Viega press fittings require no open flames or hot work permits which means all the trades can work together at the same time, allowing the project to get done – fast.
Faster, Consistent Connections
A simple 11 joint assembly takes just under 11 minutes to press*. Compare that to more than two-and-a-half hours of welding and you’re talking about some serious cost savings.
Reliable + Quality Installation
Unlike groove or threaded connections that reduce pipe wall thickness, Viega fittings preserve pipe integrity. All of our fittings come factory assembled for maximum consistency in the field.
Faster System Commissioning
With Viega press fittings, you don't need to flush the system or perform environmental testing during install. Pressure testing can be completed immediately.
Approved Applications
Viega ProPress and MegaPress systems are approved for a wide variety of standard applications including: water, fuels, oils, lubricants, and gases.
They are also approved for more than 2,500 nonstandard applications including:
Sea Water Cooling Fire Main – wet, dry, foam Sprinkler Systems Bilge Lines Tank Cleaning Non-Essential Systems | Cargo Oil Lines Fuel Oil Lines Lubricating Lines Heating Compressed Air Condensate Return |
Approval of nonstandard applications requires chemical compatibility submission
Certified in U.S.

The Viega Difference
Viega press fitting systems are engineered to last the life of the system while delivering unrivaled consistency press-after-press. Viega fittings are secured with stainless steel grip rings using over 5,000 pounds of force and include a separator ring and sealing element outside of the flowpath to increase system lifespan and stand up to a broad range of pressures, temperatures, and applications. With smart connect technology, you can rest assured that all pipe connections have been made and false positives are a thing of the past.
